If you're like me, you procrastinate to the very last second. Unfortunately this usually results is some missed opportunities. I listened to this amazing TED talk recently where the person suggested always making your bed. Sure it's a menial, arbitrary task that seems to mean very little since you're getting back into it that night. (My Wife doesn't feel this way at all, she thinks it should be made every morning!)
This person said, when he was in the military he had to make his bed, perfectly, every morning. It didn't dawn on him for years why they made him do this. One day it came to him. The day was going to be long, arduous and full of tasks. If he made his bed that morning then he had already completed one task for the day, it trained him to stop procrastinating and to just get the things that needed done, done.
My point is, if you're planning some event this Summer, maybe a company BBQ, a Memorial day party or a team building workshop, don't procrastinate. Entertainment is especially difficult to get during the busy Summer months because all of those people who make their bed every morning are snapping up the best entertainment!
Calling and booking your awesome Summer entertainment is easier than making your bed,
don't procrastinate and lose out on your chance.
